A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest "Pridnestrovian quality - 2018" took place in the capital's Palace of Culture. This year it was held within the framework of the project “Buy Pridnestrovian!” Improving the quality of domestic goods and services, increasing their competitiveness, and promoting the best products both in the domestic and foreign markets is the main goal of the competition. It has been held in the republic annually since 2003. The organizer is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the ministries of economic development, agriculture and natural resources, state services, state administrations of cities and regions of the republic, and certification bodies for PMR products. Every year the number of participants-enterprises increases. If in 2003, 24 enterprises presented their products, then after 15 years there were already 55 participants. Four of the declared enterprises did not pass this kind of exam. About three hundred positions of goods and services were submitted to the court of experts.

The structure of expert commissions of the competition includes leading experts of ministries and departments of the republic, experts of independent bodies for product certification, process engineers of enterprises and organizations.

The diplomas to the best in the category “Light industry goods, trade” were presented by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba. The speaker proposed to expand the list of nominations and next year choose the best investor, both internal and external. The speaker also spoke about the need to sum up the results in the format of the release of consumer goods on the system of import substitution.

The shoe firm Tigina has participated in the competition for the 16th year in a row. The company notes the successful development of the project “Buy Pridnestrovian!”. The increase in sales in the domestic market.

A new nomination “Domestic sales leader” was added for the first time this year.
