Dubossary celebrated the 658th anniversary of the formation. On October 27, a temple holiday was held - the day of memory of St. Paraskeva of Serbia. Residents of Dubossary honored the memory of soldiers. At the Memorial of Military Glory, a ceremony of laying flowers to the burial places of the Red Army soldiers who died during the liberation of the city from the Nazi invaders and to the graves of Pridnestrovian defenders was held. The fallen heroes were honored with a minute of silence.
Festive events to the Day of the city began on the Victory Square. By tradition, the state flag of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the flag of the city of Dubossary were raised.
The congratulatory address was sent by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Scherba. It was read by the deputy of the Supreme Council, Peter Pasat, representing the interests of the citizens of Dubossarya in the legislature.
The wishes of the citizens were also addressed by the director of the wine-brandy factory “Kvint” parliamentarian Oleg Bayev. He also represents the interests of the residents of the Dubossary district in the Supreme Council.
Distinguished citizens, labor veterans were awarded state awards. Young Dubossarans received Pridnestrovian passports.
There were mass celebrations in the central streets of the city. There was organized exhibition of vintage cars. The art gallery opened the doors for everyone. Residents and guests Dubossary could contribute to the perpetuation of the memory of the legendary countryman - Nikolai Sklifosovsky. A fundraiser was organized for the production of a monument to an outstanding scientist on the Square of Defenders. The holiday in honor of the 658th anniversary of Dubossary ended with a concert program and colorful fireworks.
