Alexander Korshunov met with Russian colleagues

The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov met in Moscow with his Russian colleagues who represent the interests of Pridnestrovians in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Alexander Yaroshuk, and with parliamentarians who are not indifferent to the fate of compatriots living in Pridnestrovie, Konstantin Zatulin, Umakhan Umakhanov, Gennady Onishchenko. Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Parliament Alexander Korshunov presented to the Russian deputies the jubilee signs "30 years of the PMR Supreme Council" as a token of gratitude for the long-term cooperation.

They spoke at the meetings about the continuation of the humanitarian project for the supply of vaccines against COVID-19 to Pridnestrovie, as well as the situation in the process of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement.

This topic and other main issues of concern to Pridnestrovians were raised in the course of the meeting with a member of the United Russia faction, chairman of the Education and Science Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, political scientist Vyacheslav Nikonov. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov presented the Order of Friendship to the parliamentarian. This award is presented for special merits in strengthening peace, friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between peoples, as well as for fruitful activities in the convergence and mutual enrichment of the cultures of nations and nationalities, active work to preserve, augment and popularize the cultural historical heritage of Pridnestrovie, for assistance in the establishment of institutions civil society and the development of democratic values, for broad charitable activities.
