Alexander Korshunov, "You are a bridge between the young generation and government bodies"

Parting words from the invited guests and mentors were heard in the plenary session hall at the opening of the I session of the Youth Parliament of the IV convocation under the Supreme Council of the PMR. The culmination was the address to the young parliamentarians by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov.

The Speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament noted that he was glad to see the most active, patriotic and purposeful representatives of the youth of Pridnestrovie within the walls of the Supreme Council.

The Head of Parliament noted that youth parliamentarism is almost the same age as our republic. Since 1992, the European Charter on the Participation of Youth in the Life of Municipal and Regional Entities has been the basis for the creation of youth associations participating in the life of cities and states. Such an advisory and consultative body as the youth parliament under the State Duma has been operating since 2001 in Russia.

Alexander Korshunov cited as an example the activities of his predecessors - young parliamentarians of the III convocation. Deputies of the Pridnestrovian parliament are proud of how their novice colleagues have shown themselves. Many of them today work in the public administration system, many of them participate in youth movements.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov emphasized that the Youth Parliament is the first stage of training to be the initiators of ideas. Specialists of the committees and deputies of the Supreme Council will become assistants in all undertakings, the main thing is not to be afraid to express a point of view.

The speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament recalled that youth is a time of non-standard creative ideas, daring decisions, implementation of the most daring plans and gaining experience. Alexander Korshunov wished the new convocation of the PMR Youth Parliament fruitful work and success.
