Alexander Korshunov: Development of land reclamation is a strategic direction for the state

Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov says that development of land reclamation is a strategic direction for the state. Commenting on the creation of a working group on the development of land reclamation at the plenary session, the speaker emphasized: this decision is supported by all the deputies of the Supreme Council.

“The Supreme Council is a strategic planning management body. Our work over the past three to four years has been based on the fact that we are defining very important directions for development of the state, formulating and creating state targeted programs. One of the directions - strategic - for our state, taking into account the changing weather conditions, is the development of land reclamation. This was confirmed by the year of drought, which has lasted since 2019. The farmers are suffering huge losses. The state, together with the agrarians, is also missing serious financial amounts in the budget. In this regard, we are well aware that investment in the real sector of the economy will give a multiplier effect, will give an increase in added value, which will lead both to the receipt of budget revenues and to the possibility of implementing other programs, including social ones,” said Alexander Korshunov .

Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council emphasizes that he is sure that the commission will work out both directions and volumes of financing for the development of the reclamation complex in a short time.
