Alexander Korshunov, “The work of the Accounts Chamber in 2021 was rated as good”

Last year, the specialists of the Accounts Chamber carried out control and expert-analytical activities in the framework of the targeted use of budgetary funds and compliance with the norms of the current legislation. Financial violations and shortcomings in the amount of about 191 million rubles were revealed. These figures were announced today at the board of the control body. The Accounts Chamber, controlled in its activities by the Supreme Council, annually submits a report on the work done.

The Head of the control agency emphasized that the instructions of the Accounts Chamber are taken into account and violations are eliminated. But there are separate conceptual issues, for the solution of which joint work with state authorities should be continued, Svetlana Izmestyeva noted, adding that the methodology for calculating prices needs to be worked out.

Specialists of the Accounts Chamber participated in the development of the draft Budget Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and Head of the Committee on Economic Policy Viktor Guzun expressed gratitude to the control body for the work done and fruitful interaction with the Parliament.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council gave a positive assessment to the work of the Accounts Chamber last year. The control body takes part in the work of plenary meetings, meetings of the Committee on Economic Policy. Experts give an opinion on legislative initiatives submitted for consideration by the Parliament.

At the end of the online meeting the Acting Chairman of the Accounts Chamber informed the deputies that at the beginning of the year work was carried out to study city and district budgets for their compliance with the law on the republican budget. The conclusions are currently being prepared. Svetlana Izmestyeva said that as part of the current control the Accounts Chamber will quarterly receive operational information on detected violations.
