Alexander Korshunov, “The draft Budget Code of the PMR is ready”

The draft Budget Code of the PMR is ready, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov said today after the final meeting of the working group on the development of the code. Work on the document was carried out for a little over a year. The task of creating a legal act that establishes the general principles of budgetary legislation and the legal foundations for the functioning of the budgetary system in the republic was entrusted by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky in his Address to the authorities and administration.

Parliamentarians, representatives of the executive branch, the Prosecutor's Office, the Accounts Chamber, deputies of city and district councils worked on the document as part of the working group.

Alexander Korshunov emphasized that the consideration of the draft Budget Code in the Supreme Council will be held in a wide format. Representatives of the Government, the PMR Prosecutor's Office, the Accounts Chamber and deputies of city and district councils will take part in the discussion.

Alexander Korshunov noted earlier that meticulous work is being done to refine each article, each paragraph of the articles in order to adopt this codified document.

Such a document as the Budget Code is important for every state. It is important to define the conceptual apparatus in it and correctly build the budget process itself so that there are no disagreements and misunderstandings at all levels of interaction in the process of implementing the document. The Speaker emphasized that an important part in this process is control over the financial resources of the state, that is, the people's money.
