Most Pridnestrovian enterprises have stopped production due to the lack of gas. Electricity and gas are used first of all to heat the residents of the republic and to cook. If enterprises stop, taxes will not go to the republic's budget, which means that the payment of salaries, pensions and benefits is at risk. Their payment is a priority for the state. The country's leadership is working to find alternative sources of replenishment of the budget under these conditions. Fulfilling social obligations in the conditions of the energy crisis is another challenge for Pridnestrovie, said the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov in a comment to journalists.
The deputies of the Supreme Council voted to extend the state of emergency in the economy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic until February 8. The parliament notes that today there is no clear time frame for when the state of emergency in the economy will end.
It is important in the conditions of the energy crisis to prevent the situation from getting worse, emphasized the speaker of the parliament Alexander Korshunov. We are talking about the operation of generating stations. Thanks to rolling blackouts, they are functioning in the normal mode. All government bodies and energy companies are currently busy ensuring that electricity generation sources operate in the normal mode, emphasized Alexander Korshunov.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov called on Pridnestrovians to be responsible in using electrical appliances so as not to overload the network.
The most important thing is to preserve the enterprises that generate electricity, emphasized the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
