Youth policy is a priority for the state. This topic became the main one at the meeting of the Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and the Chairman of the Youth Parliament under the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Savich. How is the state youth policy implemented in Pridnestrovie, what measures are being taken to protect the rights of young Pridnestrovians, and what is being done to ensure that residents of the republic under the age of 35 living and working in the PMR.
Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov emphasized that the state has no future without the youth. That is why the Supreme Council adopted at the beginning of this year an important law "On state support of young families for purchase of housing". The Supreme Council allocated 15 million rubles to help in buying their own housing in the republican budget for this year. Due to the pandemic and shortfalls in the budget, funding for the program was frozen. The parliamentarians are confident that the situation should not repeat next year.
The Youth Parliament supports the deputy corps and considers that comfortable living conditions in the republic should be created for young Pridnestrovians. Alexander Savic emphasized that housing is one of the fundamental factors that enables a young specialist to stay in Pridnestrovie, live and build a career.
So far, the law "On state support of young families for purchase of housing" applies only to a few categories of young specialists in the budgetary sphere. The head of the Youth Parliament believes: after the start of the program, it is necessary to expand the list of young professionals who can count on government assistance in buying their own living space. The need for this will be shown by life: there is an unprecedented excitement at PSU this year, almost 4 thousand new students. Most of them will become young specialists and bring new knowledge and fresh ideas to the economy of the republic in a few years. This means that Pridnestrovie has a future.
