Alexander Korshunov, "The philosophy of interaction between the State Customs Committee and entrepreneurs has been changed"

26.02.2022

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has not received any requests from economic agents on issues of interaction with the State Customs Committee in recent years. This indicates a fairly close contact of the structure with Pridnestrovian entrepreneurs, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov emphasized in the course of the meeting of the Collegium of the department following the results of last year.

The State Customs Committee and the Supreme Council have been jointly conducting extensive work to improve customs legislation since 2017. The Head of the Committee Valentin Grabko noted that the agency sought to eliminate administrative barriers, improve and simplify customs procedures when changing the regulatory framework.

Thanks to the changes made at the initiative of the deputies of the Supreme Council today, it has become much easier to deliver goods to our republic. Sole proprietors can now delegate their powers for customs declaration of goods to their employees.

The Parliament is considering an initiative to amend the Customs Code. It was noted in the course of the meeting of the Collegium of the department that the law-in-draft is aimed at speeding up customs inspection.

The Chairman of the State Customs Committee gave statistical data. The trade turnover of Pridnestrovie increased by more than 50% compared to the previous year. This trend is observed both in relation to imports and exports. The republican budget received 22% more customs payments, more than 900 million rubles were transferred. This figure is 10% higher than in the pre-pandemic 2019.

Last year, cashless payments for customs payments became possible. This made it possible to ensure the transparency of their transfer to the accounts of the republican budget and budgetary funds as well as control over the movement of incoming funds.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky recognized the work of the State Customs Committee as satisfactory in the last year.
