Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov called on Pridnestrovians with Russian citizenship to take part in the voting for the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the VIII convocation. The Speaker emphasized that Pridnestrovie lives in the community of the Russian World, therefore our republic and each of us are inseparable from such a large country as the Russian Federation.
Alexander Korshunov recalled that Pridnestrovians joined the All-Russian action and wrote instructions to candidates for the VIII convocation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. All orders have already been transferred to them.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic emphasized that despite the fact that Pridnestrovie is far from the Russian Federation, what the Russian Parliament will be like depends on the Pridnestrovian Russians.
Elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the VIII convocation will be held from 17 to 19 September. The main voting day in Pridnestrovie is September 19. It will be possible to vote at two polling stations in Tiraspol from 17 September.
The elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation are regulated by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Law "On the election of deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation" and other regulatory legal acts.
450 deputies are elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation: 225 deputies - in single-mandate electoral districts (one district - one deputy) and 225 deputies - from political parties, in a federal electoral district in proportion to the number of votes cast for federal lists of candidates. Parties officially registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation take part in elections.
