An urgent meeting of the parliamentary commission on investigation of the situation on the currency market has been appointed in connection with the fact that there is significant increase in the monetary base. Yesterday meeting of the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the deputy chairman of the PRB confirmed: the volume of cash and non-cash money increased by 317 million rubles in the republic in September due to the increase in balances on correspondent accounts of banks. Compared with August, an increase was 20%. Due to the fact that yesterday answers to the question how an increase in the monetary base will affect the rate of the ruble and inflation, are not followed, the deputies decided to hold another meeting. Today the heads of the ministries of the economic block were invited again, as well as chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic. However, only leaders of the Ministry of Finance attended the meeting. The Central Bank Chairman Edward Kosovsky, as well as the head of Ministry of Economic Development, did not come today.

Deputy questions were addressed to presented at the meeting the Minister of Finance Irina Molokanova. She did not comment the fact of money issue.

Earlier: deputies were opposed to the launch of the printing press. According to them, the printing of new, unsubstantiated money can lead to a depreciation of the ruble, rising prices and the impoverishment of the population.

Due to the fact that the productive discussions failed again, parliamentarians have proposed to hold another meeting of the committee on the 1st of November. Ifthe head of PRB again does not come, to invite him to an information hour, which will be held in the plenary meeting November 2.
