Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov noted in an interview with journalists the most important laws for the state that were adopted by the Supreme Council in 2023 - in the spring and autumn sessions of parliament.
The speaker emphasized that during the autumn session, 168 laws of the PMR were signed and published by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (as of December 21, 2023). The deputy corps reviewed about 1000 amendments to legislations. Alexander Korshunov expressed gratitude for the constructive work to his fellow parliamentarians and employees of the PMR Supreme Council, the President, the Government, members of the Consultative Assembly of the First Deputies and public organizations.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic separately highlighted the PMR laws “On the Republican Budget for 2024” and “On the Budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund for 2024” among the new laws that are significant for the republic.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic emphasized that the draft law on the re-budget for 2024 was adopted for the first time in many years on the basis of the Budget and Tax Policy Concept of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The document was adopted by parliament in the spring session and is designed for 3 years.
The republic continues to work on the Budget Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The document was adopted in the first reading by the Supreme Council in 2022. The Budget Code is at the stage of consideration in the second reading, a working group has been created with the Government.
Continuing the topic of strategic documents important for the republic, Alexander Korshunov announced the beginning of a discussion of the draft Urban Planning Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which was submitted to the Supreme Council for consideration in November, during the autumn session.
The laws “On Architectural Activities” and “On Urban Planning” which were adopted in the 90s of the 20th century are in force in the field of urban planning in Pridnestrovie. Alexander Korshunov noted that the modern world is developing at a rapid pace, therefore legislation must keep up with the times and keep up with real life. The Town Planning Code, as a codifying law, will regulate all relationships in the field of town planning, taking into account realities.
In 2023, the Supreme Council of the PMR also adopted new laws for Pridnestrovie “On a unified register of the population”, “On advocacy and advocacy in the PMR”, “Special tax regime - a simplified taxation system for the PMR Chamber of Lawyers”, “On approval of the state target program “ Development of a drinking water supply system for populated areas of the PMR for 2024-2028” and “On approval of the state target program “Improvement and preservation of burial places of Heroes of the Soviet Union, full holders of the Order of Glory and Memorials of Military Glory of the Great Patriotic War” for 2024-2025”. All these laws will come into force on January 1, 2024.
