Alexander Korshunov: analytical assessments of the Accounts Chamber help the Supreme Council make informed management decisions on financing a number of areas

Based on the analytical information of the Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, balanced management decisions are made. Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov said this, commenting on the results of the work of the state financial control body in 2022. According to the Speaker of the Parliament, the philosophy of the Accounts Chamber is, first of all, expert and analytical measures, on the basis of which the state administration bodies make economically justified and verified decisions. The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Chairman emphasized that the purpose of control checks is not to punish, but to identify systemic errors, so that the work would be productive further.

The Accounts Chamber is accountable to the Supreme Council and annually reports on the results of its activities. Many figures were voiced on the eve of the Collegium, but behind them is a huge amount of complex work. The speaker of parliament is sure that decisions should be made on the basis of figures, and not on emotions.

The Accounts Chamber on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic conducted 5 control and analytical enterprises that concerned enterprises with the participation of the state, as well as control over the spending of funds from the budget for capital funds in 2022.

Examination of 285 draft laws in total and other regulatory legal acts on budgetary and financial policy and improving the budgetary process and interbudgetary relations in 2022 was carried out. 39 events were held in 390 institutions and organizations within the framework of a unified control system. 243 acts and 20 conclusions, 27 information, 1 report were drawn up and signed based on the results of the events. The Speaker noted that the Accounts Chamber currently has enough powers prescribed in the constitutional law. The Prosecutor's Office can join the case to help in their execution if business entities have doubts about the instructions of the Accounts Chamber.
