The mass event in memory of the great artist

The mass event was held in Tiraspol today in memory of the native of the city, a well-known artist, the founder of the Russian avant-garde Mikhail Larionov. On the 137th anniversary of his birth, deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva and her colleagues, deputies of the City Council Elena Soboleva and Igor Edinak planted young acacia and mountain ash seedlings. This was reported by the press service of “The Obnovlenie” Republican Party.

The tree was decorated with a street bearing the name of the artist. Two years ago, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the painter's birth, a memorial sign was erected from granite, later benches appeared. Green Corner continue to ennoble. Every year to the memorable date, various events are held: drawings competitions, seminars.

The planted trees were surrounded by a fence, and plates were placed. The acacia was decided to be planted in honor of Mikhail Larionov himself, and rowan in honor of his wife, artist Natalia Goncharova, with whom the master successfully worked in creative tandem.

Mikhail Larionov and Natalia Goncharova are notable figures in the Russian art of the 1900s and the first half of the 1910s. With their creativity are associated with the most important periods of development of the artistic avant-garde - neo-impressionism, primitivism, Fauvism and Rayonism.

Tiraspol, connoisseurs of fine arts, in recent years, rediscover the names of these talented artists. The town on the Dniester played an important role in the formation of the creative Larionov. The famous painting "The Window in Tiraspol" opens the exhibition in the Tretyakov Gallery. By the 135th anniversary of the artist, they created a website about the early, Tiraspol period of the master's work. Tiraspol also cooperates with the Tula Cultural Center, which is engaged in perpetuating the memory of Natalia Goncharova. Now the museum mentions Tiraspol and the Tiraspol period of MF Larionov's creative work in her native land, in the village of Ladyzhino, near Yasnaya Polyana.
