International Educational Readings are the largest church-public forum of the Russian Orthodox Church. Issues in the sphere of education, culture, social service and spiritual and moral enlightenment become the subject of discussion. Usually the Readings are held in early January, but the organizers postponed them to a later date this year due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation. The Regional Stage of the Readings ran from September 2020 to January 2021. Almost 190 dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church joined.
The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed the participants of the International Educational Readings. He emphasized that the deeds of ancestors, their perseverance and dedication in the name of the Fatherland will always serve as an example for all generations.
