All tenants must pay for overhaul and diagnostics of elevators

02.03.2021

Tenants of the first and second floors of apartment buildings in Pridnestrovie began to pay for services for overhaul and diagnostics of elevators from January 1, 2021. Previously, payment was made by those living from the third to the last floor. This information was posted by the capital's management company on its website. The situation was explained by Anton Onufrienko, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Industry, Housing and Utilities, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources. According to him, such a norm in the Housing Code of the PMR was originally spelled out and the housing maintenance and repair administrations had to execute it.

Anton Onufrienko noted in a comment to the press service of the Supreme Council that today there are four types of payment for elevator maintenance. These include overhauls, inspection and diagnostics, maintenance and electricity charges for elevators. Elevator maintenance and electricity fees are charged only to residents from the third to the last floor, that is those who actually ride the elevator every day. The payment for this service is calculated according to the number of people registered in the apartment. People are used to it and pay for it, the deputy added. A misunderstanding arose with the payment for overhaul, diagnostics and examination of elevators.

According to Anton Onufrienko, the norm has always existed, it was simply not implemented. Housing maintenance and repair administrations begin to comply with the law now.
