The III convocation of the PMR Youth Parliament resigned on December 8, 2020, together with the deputies of the PMR Supreme Council of the VI convocation. The Youth Parliament of Pridnestrovie is an advisory and consultative body. The voice and aspirations of young Pridnestrovians assist in the implementation of the state's youth policy.
Since March 2016, the III convocation of the Youth Parliament has united the Pridnestrovian youth with different interests and views into one well-coordinated team, said Alexander Savich, Chairman of the III Youth Parliament. Meetings were held with representatives of the Pridnestrovian youth community and experts on youth policy. 23 plenary meetings, 34 presidium meetings and 49 meetings of committees and commissions have taken place in almost 5 years. More than 250 issues related to young Pridnestrovians were considered. The deputies of the Youth Parliament put forward 12 proposals for the creation of legislative initiatives. Among them there is a ban on the circulation of "tobacco-free nicotine-containing products intended for the consumption of nicotine in ways other than smoking tobacco" and amendments to the Administrative Code concerning tougher liability for drunk driving with children. The Youth Parliament put forward its proposals on the Strategy for the Development of the State Youth Policy of Pridnestrovie for 2021–2026. They are being studied at the Ministry of Education and the Government now.
During the years of the III convocation, the Youth Parliament signed two agreements on cooperation with Russian organizations. Such an agreement was concluded with the All-Russian socio-political youth party "Young Guard of United Russia" in 2016. It promotes the interests of Russian youth and works under the motto "We continue the story!" Cooperation agreement with the Youth Chamber of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra was signed in in 2017. Young politicians hold meetings, organize events and share experiences in the sphere of youth parliamentarism. Alexander Savich added that even online. Agreement on cooperation as partner associations with representatives of the Russian Interregional Public Organization "Independent Youth" was achieved. This organization is one of the main partners in holding various events of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. "Independent Youth" also works with the Council for Culture under the Youth Parliament of the Russian Federation.
The Youth Parliament of the PMR organized and took part in almost 100 public events from May 2016 to December 2020: sports, creative and scientific. Forums, meetings and round tables, national and international. The youth parliament forms a young personnel reserve for the republic.
