Alexander Korshunov, “The Supreme Council will draw up a plan of actions to expand inter-parliamentary cooperation with the Russian Federation and support our citizens”

Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov summed up the preliminary results of working meetings in the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Federation Council. The delegation of Pridnestrovian deputies met with Russian colleagues, which, in addition to the Speaker, includes Deputy of the PMR Supreme Council Ruslan Gareev, Chairman of the Tiraspol City Council Vadim Doni and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Supreme Council of the PMR in the Russian Federation for inter-parliamentary cooperation Olga Gukalenko.

The Speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament commented on the two-day working visit to Moscow and summed up the preliminary results of the meetings. Alexander Korshunov emphasized that the Supreme Council, summing up the results of the year, appealed for advice and support to the parliamentarians of the Russian Federation.

The meetings were held at the State Duma and the Federation Council. The delegation of Pridnestrovian deputies met with representatives of all factions of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

According to Alexander Korshunov, the delegation's visit turned out to be productive; a wide range of issues were discussed with Russian parliamentarians and senators. Support and understanding were found for many of them.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov listed the agreements reached in Moscow:

- on the necessity and development of modern mechanisms of cooperation between the government bodies of the PMR and the Russian Federation;

- understanding and support on the issue of prolonging the agreement on the simplified procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship;

- considered the issue of supporting the real sector of the economy, in particular, the agricultural sector, the land reclamation complex of our republic, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the need to issue technical loans and humanitarian aid;

- Agreements were reached on holding a wide-format meeting at the site of the State Duma of the Russian Federation to approve the developed model of cooperation between the government bodies of the Russian Federation and the PMR;

- receiving additional payments to our citizens of retirement age and secured support for the next year was discussed.
