The agenda of the plenary meeting will be held tomorrow, November 11, along with others, includes a number of legislations that relate to the housing sector. In particular, deputies of the Supreme Council in the first reading will consider the initiative of the Committee on State Regional Policy. It is proposed to supplement the Housing Code with a number of new norms. One of them concerns the order of payment for elevator maintenance. To date, the funds that the management company collects from tenants for maintenance are accumulated on the accounts of housing administrations. However, there are situations when the housing department untimely transfers these funds to a specialized organization. Ultimately, this affects the quality of services.
In addition, amendments to the Housing Code, proposed by the profile committee, concern payments for apartments and utilities.
The electronic payment system is actively used today. Many people have switched to this type of calculation because it is convenient. The Housing Code does not specify such a payment option. The committee proposed to supplement the code with a new norm.
Deputies will consider the legislative initiative of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex at the plenary session in the second reading. It concerns the ability of government officials to privatize housing free of charge, which they have been occupying under a commercial lease agreement for 10 years.
