A number of deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took part in the celebration of Victory Day in their constituencies.
Slobodzeya
Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for constituency No. 21 “Slobodzeya” Pavel Shinkaryuk took part in the festive events dedicated to Victory Day. Solemn rallies took place in the Russian and Moldovan parts of the city of Slobodzeya. Pavel Shinkaryuk congratulated residents of Slobodzeya and guests of the city on the sacred date.
The deputy wished those present happiness, prosperity, and a peaceful sky above their heads. Flowers were laid at the eternal flame after the meeting. Pavel Shinkaryuk on the holiday together with deputies of the Slobodzeya District City Council from the voters of the city of Slobodzeya and the youth of the city, visited the home of a concentration camp prisoner, home front workers, widows of participants in the Great Patriotic War, wished them good health and thanked them for a peaceful sky, according to tradition.

Bendery
Commemorative events dedicated to Victory Day were held in Bendery, the villages of Gyska and Protyagailovka on May 9. Townspeople and villagers celebrated the great national holiday by laying flowers at memorials and memorial sites dedicated to liberating soldiers, reports the website of the Bendery City Council of People's Deputies.
Residents of Bendery, representatives of labor and student groups, and the city leadership gathered at Heroes Square to bow to the feat of the soldiers of Victory. Many held portraits of relatives – heroes of the “Immortal Regiment”.
A memorial meeting took place at the Eternal Flame. Deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR for Bendery districts No. 4 “Leninsky” Anton Onufrienko and No. 5 “Central” Sergey Pisarenko took part in the commemorative events.
The Pantheon of Glory is a sacred place for all Bendery residents, Pridnestrovians, where those who gave their lives for the liberation of Bendery are buried. The memory of the fallen defenders of the Motherland was honored with a minute of silence.
Chairman of the Bendery City Council of People's Deputies Yuri Kara noted that May 9 is a day of sacred memory, gratitude, respect and admiration for the feat of those who, at the cost of their own lives, defended the peaceful future of our Motherland. Those who liberated from fascism and gave peaceful dawns to the peoples of different countries and states.
Fresh flowers, as a token of gratitude to the generation of winners for their perseverance, courage and heroism, selfless love for their native Fatherland, and the peaceful sky above, were placed on granite slabs with the names of the dead and on the Eternal Flame.
Concert crews went to visit the veterans. There are only 4 veterans left in Bendery who participated in the Great Patriotic War. This is a career officer, reserve lieutenant colonel, military pilot, writer and poet Georgy Yakovlevich Panov. Nikolai Nikitovich Korolev went to the front when he was just a boy. An artilleryman, a soldier of the 3rd Guards Tank Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front, he liberated Belarus, Czechoslovakia, and participated in the Lvov-Sandomierz offensive operation. Maria Petrovna Iosipchuk took part in the liberation of strategically important settlements in Ukraine and Moldova, participated in the Iasi-Chisinau operation. Zakhar Petrovich Bashmakov as a child fought against the Nazis in a partisan detachment.

Dubossary
A solemn ceremony dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was held on Victory Square in Dubossary. The Victory Banner floated above the square in the peaceful sky as a symbol of peace and courage.
The legendary song “Victory Day” was performed in honor of the great holiday on the square by a choir of teachers and students of the Dubossary children’s music school named after George Murgu. A bicycle ride through memorable places started from the square, after which the column proceeded to the Military Glory Memorial, reports the website of the Dubossary State Administration and the Dubossary District City Council.
81 Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of the city from the German-Romanian occupiers in April 1944 rest in a mass grave in Dubossary on the Memorial of Military Glory. Dubossary residents honored the memory of war heroes with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the granite slabs on May 9. Deputy of the PMR Supreme Council for District No. 11 “Central” Boris German and deputies of the Dubossary District City Council took part in the memorable and solemn events.

Rybnitsa
May 9 began with a flag-raising ceremony on the city square of Rybnitsa. The Victory Banner was raised by Great Patriotic War veteran Philip Safronovich Olovyagin. The veteran turned 100 years old in November, reports the telegram channel of the Rybnitsa State Administration.
The leadership and deputies of the city and district, social activists, and Rybnitsa residents laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, at the graves of unknown soldiers. A thematic exhibition was exhibited in the city park, and veterans accepted congratulations. Deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR for constituency No. 15 “Kirovsky” of Rybnitsa Andrey Safonov took part in the memorable and solemn events.
Commemorative events on May 9 took place in all cities and villages of Pridnestrovie, and deputies of all levels took part in it.
