Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers!

Dear residents of Tiraspol!

I congratulate you on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Tiraspol from the German-Romanian invaders on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic!

Those tragic times will remain in our memory forever. There are fewer and fewer eyewitnesses of those terrible events every day. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War like no one else can tell the younger generation about the devastation, hunger and all the atrocities that they experienced during the occupation. We cherish this memory sacredly and will not allow anyone to distort and rewrite our history.

Our people showed in this bloody war the highest moral qualities of high patriotism, unbending will, self-sacrifice in the name of the great Victory over the enemy.

The feat and dedication of our ancestors encourage us to love and honor our Motherland, our hometown even more, and we must sincerely and devotedly contribute to the development of our land.

Dear veterans, dear residents of the capital, please accept on this memorable day my heartfelt wishes for peace and happiness, good health, prosperity, longevity and the best hopes for the future of the republic and our city!
