The Polytechnic College of Slobodzeya is 40

The Polytechnic College of Slobodzeya is 40. Deputies of the Supreme Council from the Slobodzeya district congratulated teachers and students on the anniversary of the institution.

The history of the Slobodzeya Polytechnic begins in 1979, when the Council of Ministers of the MSSR decided to create a vocational school. The first students admission order was issued already in 1984. It was an institution for 720 places, according to the project. The necessary infrastructure was built, an educational and administrative building, 3 dormitories, educational and production workshops, a garage, a boiler room and a 5-story building for teaching staff. The educational institution has trained more than 7 thousand specialists in construction, culinary and technical fields for 40 years. The technical school has opened training in a new topical specialty - agromelioration since last year.

380 persons are currently studying at the Technical School of Slobodzeya; they can receive primary and secondary vocational education. The training programs include areas of protection in emergency situations. These are future specialists for the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic; they have been training for the third year. Among the areas are the operation of agricultural machinery, construction, training of car repairmen, pastry chefs and plasterers.

The parliamentarian thanked President Vadim Krasnoselsky for the decision made to preserve the work of the Slobodzeya Technical School.

The celebrations ended with a festive concert, at which students of the technical school and creative groups of the Slobodzeya district performed.
