The 32nd anniversary of the formation of the People's Militia in the towns and districts of the republic

Commemorative events dedicated to the Day of the Formation of the People's Militia are held throughout the republic. Flowers were laid this morning at the Memorial of Military Glory in Slobodzeya at the monuments to the fallen defenders of Pridnestrovie and the chief of staff of the People's Militia Alexander Gusar. Pavel Shinkariuk, deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for the constituency No. 21 "Slobodzeya", honored the memory of the fallen defenders of the republic. Heads of the state administration and the district City Council, local deputies, veterans of the People's Militia, defenders of Pridnestrovie and representatives of the public also took part in the flower laying ceremony.

Solemn event began in the great hall of the state administration after that. Head of the State administration of Slobodzeya and Slobodzeya district Vasily Tishchenko addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The deputy of the Supreme Council Pavel Shinkariuk thanked the militia for the steadfastness and courage shown in defending the independence of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and noted that the younger generation of Pridnestrovians has someone to be proud of and from whom to take an example. The participants of the People's Militia of the district shared their memories. A minute of silence was declared in memory of the victims.
