31 years of peace on the banks of the Dniester

Dear Pridnestrovians!

I congratulate you on the 31st anniversary of the entry of the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation into Pridnestrovie on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf!

The republic inhabitants are grateful to the Russian Federation, which took the first step towards resolving the armed conflict after the invasion of Moldovan nationalists into the territory of Pridnestrovie. Since July 29, 1992, when Russian peacekeepers entered Pridnestrovie, peace has reigned on both banks of the Dniester. Russian peacekeepers gave Pridnestrovians hope for a calm and bright future.

Sometimes very difficult situations arose in the course of the peacekeeping mission, but despite all this, no people have died for 30 years no shots and explosions have been heard.

It is precisely because of its effectiveness that the military work of peacekeepers meets sincere gratitude and deep trust of the people of Pridnestrovie. The personnel of the peacekeeping contingent is doing everything possible to successfully fulfill the task of maintaining stability in our region and preventing a repetition of the 1992 tragedy.

I am confident that well-coordinated and organized work, high skill and professionalism of the military personnel of the peacekeeping forces will continue to be a reliable guarantee of calm and peace in the Pridnestrovian land.

I wish all Pridnestrovians a peaceful sky over their heads, confidence in the future, health, prosperity, happiness and love!
