The Republican public movement "The Joint Council of Labor Collectives of Pridnestrovie" celebrates the 30th anniversary of its founding. The organization’s anniversary was celebrated with a gala evening held in the capital's Palace of Culture. The President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the first President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, representatives of state authorities and government of the republic came to congratulate the Joint Council of labor collectives members on the holiday. Grigory Dyachenko, deputy chairman of the legislative committee took part in the celebration.
The First President of the PMR congratulated members of Joint Council of labor collectives on the holiday. According to him, the goal of the organization has always been to unite people of different nationalities living in Pridnestrovie.
The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled how and in what historical conditions the Council of Pridnestrovrian labor collectives was formed. This was the period of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Joint Council of labor collectives, several members of the organization were awarded state awards. The anniversary medal "30 years of Joint Council of labor collectives" was presented today. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky also received it from the hands of the Chairman of the Joint Council of labor collectives Vladimir Emelyanov.
Joint Council of labor collectives was established on August 11, 1989 in Tiraspol. Then the Joint Council of labor collectives appeared in other cities and regions of Pridnestrovie. Later they merged into a nationwide organization. It included representatives of labor collectives of all enterprises operating in the territory of the future Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The main objective of the organization was to resist Moldovan nationalism, which was gaining strength in the late 80s of the last century. Members of the Joint Council of labor collectives carried out explanatory work among workers, organized mass strikes. It was they who initiated the referendums at which citizens spoke out for the creation of Pridnestrovian state. Joint Council of labor collectives members took an active part in the formation of state institutions of the young republic. In 1992, many of them stood up for the PMR. And today the Joint Council of labor collectives takes an active part in the political and public life of the state.
Participants of the solemn event honored the memory of the fallen members of the Joint Council of labor collectives with a minute of silence.
