30 years of defending the Fatherland

The beginning of Moldova's armed aggression against Pridnestrovie was remembered today in the city of Bendery. Volunteers in the ranks of the people's militias and guards went to the defense of the young republic in 1991-1992. The military glory dealt a big blow to the city.

The servicemen of the unit have been fulfilling their professional and civic duty three decades and are defenders of the security of the people of Pridnestrovie, noted in the welcome address of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov. The parliamentarian for the Bendery constituency number 5, Sergei Pisarenko, read out this welcome adnes to those present.

“The competent solution of the tasks facing the personnel largely affects the provision of socio-political stability, tranquility of the Pridnestrovian society, and the security of every citizen. The most rigorous and objective indicator of your success is peace, confidence in the future and the trust of society,” the Speaker of parliament said in his congratulations.

There have been infrastructural and technical changes in the location of the division in recent years. It was noted in the course of the solemn meeting that work to create comfortable conditions for service continues.

A number of servicemen were awarded state awards and given regular military ranks as part of the event. The event continued with a festive concert.
