“The Pridnestrovie” newspaper is 30

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov congratulated the employees of “The Pridnestrovie” republican newspaper on the 30th anniversary of the publication. The newspaper was founded on July 22, 1994. The agreement on the creation of a republican mass socio-political publication was signed by the President of the PMR Igor Smirnov and the Chairman of the Supreme Council Grigory Marakutsa. The first official issue was released on September 1.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov noted in his congratulations that over 30 years, the Pridnestrovie newspaper has managed to take its rightful place in the information space of the republic and gain popularity among readers of different ages and professions.

Alexander Korshunov emphasized that the newspaper’s staff remains committed to journalistic traditions, expanding the line of information products from the publication of government documents to news, reports and serious analytics.

The Speaker of the Parliament wished the editorial staff and the editorial team of the newspaper creative inspiration, interesting publications, expansion of the readership and new successes for the benefit of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

“The Pridnestrovie” newspaper is the main state printed publication in Russian in the republic. The newspaper is published 4 times a week, and every Saturday the editors prepare a large issue of the publication, which is popular among readers.
