The VII Congress of Deputies of all levels of Pridnestrovie will take place on the 28th of February at 11 a.m. in the Palace of the Republic. The corresponding Resolution was adopted today in the course of the plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov noted that the deputy corps supported the initiative of the PMR President, since today is really the moment when deputies of city, district and village councils should get together to make a single decision in the current conditions. Pridnestrovie is constantly experiencing external political and economic pressure, but the new customs rules of Moldova are destroying the economy of our republic.
Alexander Korshunov emphasized that Pridnestrovie will face a humanitarian catastrophe, since Moldova does not allow parts for medical equipment purchased for Pridnestrovian medical institutions to pass through. People cannot receive qualified medical care.
According to the Resolution, about 650 deputies of the Supreme Council, city, district and village Councils from all towns and districts of Pridnestrovie will be delegated to participate in the VII Congress. Representatives of public organizations of the republic and the founding deputies of the republic will be invited to participate in the Congress. All documents adopted at the Congress will be sent to international organizations, participants and mediators of the “5+2” negotiation format. The resolution will express concern about the actions and decisions of Moldovan officials that violate human rights and freedoms in Pridnestrovie.
