Celebrations were held in Bendery on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the formation of Bendery Department of Internal Affairs. The events began with the ceremony of laying flowers to the memorial, established in honor of the militia officers who died in the line of duty, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Oleg Petrik, Deputy of the Supreme Council, who led the militia department of Bendery from 2009 to 2012, wished the militiamen peaceful everyday life.

Special words of gratitude were addressed to the veterans of the Bendery militia. Certificates of honor, letters of appreciation from local authorities were presented to a number of current employees. The badge "Excellence in Militia" awarded the head of the criminal police department of Internal Affairs Viktor Muntean. He is one of those who stood at the origins of the formation of Department.
