December 24 – Day of the PMR Constitution

Dear Pridnestrovians!

I congratulate you on the public holiday – Day of the PMR Constitution on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic!

The basic law adopted on December 24, 1995 became an important milestone in the history of Pridnestrovie, it allowed us to preserve state foundations, stabilize the situation in the economy and the social sphere, establish basic values, democratic principles, and open wide opportunities for further transformations in various fields in a difficult period for our country and spheres of life in the country.

The past 27 years allowed the constitutional norms to firmly establish themselves in our lives, having undergone a process of improvement, to become a reliable guarantor of the rights and freedoms of the citizens of Pridnestrovie, the development of the state and the preservation of stability in society.

We still have a lot to do of course to build a strong and prosperous state, and I am convinced that our common task on this path is to further implement the creative potential laid down in the Constitution of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
