Dear Pridnestrovians!

On behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and me personally, I congratulate you on Defender of the Fatherland Day!

February 23 is a holiday of real men, embodying courage and valor, patriotism, loyalty to duty and honor, readiness to always stand up for the protection of family and Motherland.

We are proud of the heroic deeds of our fathers and grandfathers, who fought with honor and dignity for the peaceful sky above their heads, fearlessly marched to victory. We will carry this memory through years, we will pass it to our children and grandchildren.

 I am sure that the present generation of the defenders of Pridnestrovie is worthy successors of their ancestors. Military service for many of them became not only a sacred duty, but also mission.

Not only men stand for defending the borders of our Motherland, this remarkable day I want to congratulate servicemen - women, fragile and tender, but at the same time brave and strong spirit.

The warmest words today I want to say about your families. Officer families are the moral support of the army itself. There are no more devoted and dedicated women than mothers and wives. They carry all the hardships of army life on a par with you.

I wish you all good health, happiness, prosperity and success for the benefit of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic! Peace and good to you and your families!
