The Mournful Anniversary

Dear Pridnestrovians!

June 22, 1941 is one of the saddest dates in our history: the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the beginning of trial. The day, when the most destructive and bloody war in human history, became the Day of Memory and Sorrow for our people.

Every year we remember the Great Patriotic War, bow low to the fallen - known and unknown - the defenders of the Fatherland, forged victory in those fateful years. Remembering the innocent people killed by enemy bombs, shells and bullets, brutally tortured by the occupiers. Everyone who has not lived up to the Great Victory, but believed in it.

Today it is our duty - to convey this memory to new generations, to do everything in our power not to repeat the war years, to young people grow up true patriots.

Eternal memory to those who died in the battles for the Motherland! Eternal glory to the soldiers who gave us peace and freedom!

I wish all the citizens of Pridnestrovie prosperity, optimism, happiness and kindness. Let over our heads will always be peaceful sky!
