The results of the 10th republican creative contest of historical works held by the Society of Pridnestrovian Historians and Archivists and the State Service for Management of Documentation and Archives of Pridnestrovie were summed up in Tiraspol. The general theme of the competition is "1917 - in the history of Pridnestrovie".
The children wrote about the historical events of a hundred years ago, their refraction in the lives of compatriots. Prize-winners were senior pupils of secondary schools and students of institutions of secondary vocational education from Tiraspol, Bendery, Dnestrovsk, Kamenka district, Grigoriopol and Grigoriopol district. The authors of the best works were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts, they were congratulated by members of the Council of the Society of Archivist Historians, representatives of government bodies and public organizations.
Deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva, who took part in the solemn ceremony of awarding prizes, particularly noted one of the finalists of the contest, a student of 9 "B" class of Tiraspol secondary school № 5, Alexander Diatko. He made an essay "Memory of the Past (Life and Creativity of the Artist M.F. Larionov)". The deputy presented Alexander with a gift - a reproduction of one of Larionov's paintings, written in the style of radiant.
Mikhail Larionov (1881-1964) - native of Tiraspol, a Russian painter of world renown, who sang his hometown in canvases and memoirs. Ilona Tyuryaeva oversees the projects of “The Obnovlenie” Party and the Future of Pridnestrovie Foundation, related to the popularization of Larionov's heritage in the city and the republic. So, a symbolic stone was installed in Tiraspol with a commemorative plaque on the street bearing the name of the famous countryman, more than 20 specially printed facsimile reproductions of paintings by Mikhail Larionov were transferred to the museum of the Tiraspol children's art school. A special media project for the 135th anniversary of the painter was launched by the Tretyakov Gallery in 2016, with the assistance of Ilona Tyuryayeva.
