Dear Pridnestrovians!
Dear members of People's Militia, defenders of the PMR!
I congratulate you on the National Militia Day on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf!
The People's Militia was created by Decree of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on March 17, 1992. It included volunteers, ordinary citizens, accustomed to creation and peaceful work. They were the first to stand up for the protection of their native land, for the protection of the rights and freedoms of Pridnestrovians.
High patriotism, love for their Homeland, dedication, courage – these are the qualities inherent in the defenders of Pridnestrovie. The People's Militia has not lost its relevance. The battalions of the People's Militia were disbanded and transferred to the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic after the end of hostilities in August 1992.
We pay tribute to the People's Militia members who died during the armed aggression of Moldova against Pridnestrovie today, on the day of formation of the formation. We express our gratitude to the living veterans of military operations.
The People's militia will always be a symbol of unity and brotherhood, fortitude and loyalty to duty!
Chairman of the Supreme Council
of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
