February 15 - the day of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan

Dear soldiers-internationalists!

            On behalf of the Parliament of Pridnestrovie please receive sincere congratulations in honor of the 27th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

February 15, 1989, this significant date will forever remain in the history of our country. The Soviet troops that day were completely withdrawn from Afghanistan. Undeclared war that touched not only the soldiers and officers, but also all the people of our country was finisher.

Approximately 2000 soldiers-internationalists live in Pridnestrovie. You honestly and worthily were carrying military service outside the Motherland, faithfully fulfilled civic, military, international duty and returned to your native land. The dedication with which you have been involved in the Afghan campaign, proved that you are worthy of the heroism of our fathers and grandfathers who won the Great Patriotic War. In 1992, during the formation years of our country, you stand up for the sake of peace, prosperity and tranquility in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

Dear veterans of Afghanistan, I express great respect, profound words of appreciation and gratitude for the soldiers' courage, decency, courage and devotion to his native country to all of you. Your patriotism and loyalty to the military oath - is a worthy example for the younger generation.

There was an open wound of those years, and - 54 of our countrymen, who did not return home. I share the pain of the loss of those who have lost in this war their loved ones. Bright memory to our countrymen who did not return from the war.

I sincerely wish good health, happiness, good luck, courage, long life, well-being, always peaceful sky over your head to you and your families! Let peace and happiness live in your families!
