Dear international soldiers, veterans of the Afghan war!
On behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and me personally, I congratulate you on the 29th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
February 15 is both a heroic and tragic date in the history of our country. This day, we recall the feat of Soviet soldiers who provided international assistance to friendly states, and the bitterness of the losses suffered. Tens of thousands of soldiers and officers showed courage and fortitude in this war, defending the interests of the Motherland.
These brave people, soldiers, patriots became an example of courage, selfless service to their homeland.
Honor, dignity and patriotism do not go to the reserve, they are not forgotten and do not indulge. In our republic veterans of military conflicts represent a real force that has a positive impact on socio-political processes, military-patriotic education of the younger generation.
We are grateful to parents, relatives and friends, who brought up worthy citizens of their Motherland, honorably fulfilled their military duty.
We must not forget about the left heroes. Our duty is to help and support veterans of military operations, to educate on their example the younger generation.
Let the memory of this tragic page in the history of the country remain with us forever. Honor and glory to the heroes of Afghanistan!
I wish you vitality, a strong belief in yourself and in a fighting brotherhood, peace and good, personal happiness and prosperity.
Chairman of the Supreme Council
of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
