December 12 - the day of elections of the PMR President

Residents of Pridnestrovie elected head of state today, on the 12th of December. 257 polling stations have been opened in the republic. Working hours: from 7 am to 8 pm.

There are 2 polling stations number 236 and number 237 in the capital's school number12 (this is in the Oktyabrsky microdistrict). Residential development is dense there, a large number of multi-storey buildings and there are also respectively many voters.

2457 voters are registered at number 236, but additional lists are also envisaged. The voter turnout was not very high in the morning. Traditionally, more people of older and retirement age are coming. The commission considered that rainy weather could have prevented the election early.

16 796 Pridnestrovians took part in the voting at 9:00 in total, according to the Central Election Commission 5300 of these in Tiraspol , 2945 in Bendery, 1954 in Grigoriopol, Dubossary, Kamenka 1460, 938 in Rybnitsa, 2894 in Slobodzeya. Early voting took place in the republic on Election Day. 7799 citizens of PMR took part in early voting.

According to the News of Pridnestrovie agency, representatives of different countries have been invited to monitor the elections in the republic. Not all of them were able to arrive. Moldova on the eve deported 9 citizens of the Russian Federation without giving any reason. Among them there were scientists, representatives of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, human rights activists: Natalya Narochnitskaya, Vladimir Zhuravlev, Alexander Kholodov, Alexander Brod, Yevgeny Baklanov, Pavel Pozhigailo, Vladimir Egorov, Irina Antonova, according to the website of the Central Election Commission of the PMR. Nevertheless, international observation of the electoral process will still be carried out. There are public and state figures, political scientists from Russia, Poland, Nagorno-Karabakh, South Ossetia and Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie.

Based on the results of monitoring the voting process, observers will be able to assess the organization of elections in the PMR from the point of view of compliance with international electoral standards.
