The Electoral Legislation Improvement

The Supreme Council adopted legislations that improve the norms of the electoral legislation in the first reading. Changes are made to the Electoral, Criminal, Civil Procedure Codes and the Code of Administrative Violations. The initiatives were developed by the deputies of the Committee on Legislation Galina Antyufeeva, Grigory Dyachenko and Valery Babchinetsky based on proposals from the Central Election Commission.

The conceptual apparatus in particular is being improved and the application of electoral legislation in practice is simplified.

The proposals were initiated based on the analysis of the feedback from the participants in the electoral process, members of the Central Election Commission on the application of the electoral legislation in practice during the organization and conduct of the elections of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on December 12, 2021 as noted on the website of the Central Election Commission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The experience of updating Russian electoral legislation this year was also taken into account.
