The Parliamentary Meetings in Moscow continue

The visit of the delegation of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to the Russian capital continues. On the final day of the visit, Speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament Alexander Korshunov, as well as Plenipotentiary Representative of the Supreme Council of the PMR in the Russian Federation on inter-parliamentary cooperation Olga Gukalenko met with Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, who was formerly the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova, Yevgeny Primakov heading the Federal Agency "Rossotrudnichestvo" and held a productive meeting with the leadership of the Moscow Regional Duma. The Head of the Committee on Regional Policy and Housing and Communal Services of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Ruslan Gareev also took part in the meeting.

The organization of the Interregional Economic Forum was discussed in the Federation Council. Pridnestrovian parliamentarians in the course of the meeting with Farit Mukhametshin worked out a general concept for organizing an exhibition about Pridnestrovie in the State Duma and for holding an Interregional Economic Forum, which will be aimed at attracting investments to the economy of Pridnestrovie. The decision to hold the forum was reached several months ago, and its format is being discussed. In fact, the Interregional Economic Forum is business programs that can be useful for Pridnestrovie and mutually beneficial for Russian regions.

Olga Gukalenko said that the concept of the forum and the exhibition will be presented to the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the leadership of the executive management bodies for joint development of final proposals for their holding.

They talked in the Federation Council about the development of mechanisms for the implementation of the Resolution on Pridnestrovie, the parliamentary delegation proposed to develop a strategy for interaction with the regions of the Russian Federation. Important and painful problems for all Pridnestrovians and the republic as a whole - the transport blockade, how to protect the rights of people and the economy of the republic from unfriendly actions of neighboring countries, the Speaker of the Supreme Council at the request of the head of state also discussed with the Russian senator. Alexander Korshunov reported on the situation and expressed his opinion on the risks that may arise in the republic in connection with the pandemic and in the light of the political situation.

A constructive meeting was held with the Head of the Federal Agency "Rossotrudnichestvo" Yevgeny Primakov. Issues of a humanitarian nature were discussed, including an internship in the Russian Federation for Pridnestrovian teachers, targeted support for Pridnestrovian State University named after T. Shevchenko, projects in the field of youth policy and children's health improvement.
