October 1 - International Day of Older Persons

Dear pensioners, war and labor veterans!

On behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and me personally please receive congratulations on the International Day of Older Persons!

The Day of the Elderly has gained wide recognition in our society as a day of honoring people who have come a long way in life, who have earned universal respect for conscientious work, performance of professional, military and civic duty, active participation in the creation of the industrial, scientific and cultural potential of our republic.

Today, regardless of your age, many of you have not left your creative and work activities, continue to actively participate in public life, contribute to the education of the younger generation. You are the keepers of historical memory, moral values ​​and traditions, support and example for the younger generation.

Passing on your experience and knowledge, you unite generations into a single chain. Most importantly, in all trials, teach us to preserve what we sometimes lack so often - hope and faith in the best.

Support for the elderly is one of the priority areas of the republic's social policy. Despite a rather difficult time for the economy of our republic, it can be noted with confidence that the support of elderly Pridnestrovians will be stably carried out by the state in the future.

Please accept my sincere gratitude for your work, patience and endurance! I wish you health, warmth and love of loved ones! Peace, happiness and prosperity to you!
