October 1 – Day of the Elderly

Dear pensioners, war and labor veterans!

I congratulate you on the International Day of Older Persons on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf!

Today we honor our parents, mentors, teachers, all those who created and protected what we live and are rightfully proud of, those who now make a huge contribution to the development and prosperity of our republic. This holiday is another reason to remind us of the inextricable link between times and generations.

Only by preserving the continuity of traditions and values, the bearers of which are people of older generations, can the development of our society be ensured.

Caring for the elderly is the duty of each of us. It is in our power to make sure that they do not feel lonely, they are always surrounded by attention and warmth.

On this day, let me thank you for your work, the fruits of which will be enjoyed by more than one generation of Pridnestrovians, for your wisdom and kind advice that you are helping us with.

I wish you good health, happiness and prosperity! May there always be loving and caring children, grandchildren and friends by your side!
