"Time flew by quickly." Veteran Vitaly Babak celebrates the 100th anniversary

Vitaly Ignatievich Babak from Bendery today received congratulations all day. The 100th anniversary is a serious date. The veteran from Bendery has lived a long life with the confidence that being a worthy citizen of his country means honestly serving the Motherland. When the war began, Vitaly Babak was a cadet of military infantry school, and later became a company commander. Dozens of military awards, three wounds and the memory of the war years are under his belt.

100 years is not a reason for sadness. Vitaly Ignatievich is full of energy and glad to have guests. Deputies of the Supreme Council Ruslan Gareev and the Bendery City Council Edgar Dobrioglo came to congratulate the soldier on the anniversary. He received flowers, gifts and warm words from the parliamentarians of the republic.

The honored veteran was also congratulated today by schoolchildren - pupils of the second Bendery gymnasium, living in the Pervomaisky district. Words of gratitude were sounded for the feat, long and difficult life, and handmade gifts.

Vitaly Babak accepts congratulations in the circle of those closest to him - his great-granddaughters. Inna and Anna specially flew thousands of kilometers to their beloved great-grandfather for the anniversary. He is an example of courage and wisdom for them. Inna has one birthday for two with her great-grandfather, 70 years apart.

The girls said: Vitaly Ignatievich at the age of 100 is trying to “be in trend”. He monitors how his great-granddaughters dress, uses a tablet and even teaches them how to write contacts correctly on their phone. He also considers himself a happy person - he went through the war, lived a whole century, and his dear relatives are near.
