The Supreme Dragon won bronze in the Golden Dragon Cup regatta

The second day of the Golden Dragon Cup regatta took place in Bendery on the 5th of October. The best teams from subgroups A and B of government bodies, ministries, departments, and enterprises advanced to the overall quarterfinals. Eight crews competed for a place in the semifinals.

The parliamentary team, the Supreme Dragon, competed with the team of the Presidential Administration. The Supreme Council took the lead from the very start and advanced to the semifinals of the regatta with a result of 1.15.76. The opponent finished with a result of 1.17.71.

The top four teams of government bodies, ministries, departments and enterprises included the Supreme Council, the Bendery City State Administration, the Bendery Trolleybus Administration and Tiraspoltransgaz (a newcomer to the regatta).

The Supreme Dragon was on the water with the Bendery Trolleybus Administration in the semi-final race. It stubbornly pulled ahead again, but lost to its rival at the finish at the beginning of the race. The results of the semi-final race: the Supreme Council 1.18.75 and the Bendery Trolleybus Administration 1.17.98.

Then came the fight for third place. The parliamentary team showed character and snatched bronze from the rival team Tiraspoltransgaz. The result of the race for third place: the Supreme Council - 1.14.70, Tiraspoltransgaz - 1.17.88.

The first place was won by the hosts of the regatta – the team of the state administration of Bendery, their result in the race with the Bendery trolleybus department was 1.17.80, and the team took silver, the rowers covered the distance in 1.21.45.

The parliamentary team among the four that reached the semi-finals showed the fastest time on the 300-meter distance – 1.14.70, but since there were different races for 1-2 and 3-4 places, the "Supreme Dragon" took bronze.

The captain of the team, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov is proud of his rowers, the character shown on the water and the desire to win.

The rowers of the parliamentary team are confident that the result shown was achieved thanks to weekly training and the desire to win. The Supreme Dragon was called the sensation of this regatta.

The state administration of Bendery also made every effort to win the regatta. In June, at the regatta "The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle", the team took 4th place in its group of state authorities and management bodies.

The Ministry of Defense took 1st place (they set a regatta record - 1.12.12) in the group of security agencies. "Dynamo Center 2" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2nd place and "Dynamo Center 1" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 3rd.

Among the women's teams, gold was won by "Dynamo Center" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, silver - the Presidential Administration, bronze – JSC "KVINT".

Student teams: Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense (1st place), Pridnestrovian State University (2nd place), Tiraspol Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (3rd place).

The first place in the group of schoolchildren – the students of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School, second place – the Republican Cadet Corps.

44 teams and 570 amateur athletes took part in the regatta. Teams were awarded participation certificates at the closing ceremony. The winners were awarded gold, silver and bronze "dragons".
