"The Strategy of Abkhazia - 2025"

The Abkhaz National University hosted the first National Forum "The Strategy of Abkhazia - 2025" in Sukhumi. The draft program "25 steps to develop the economy of Abkhazia until 2025", as well as prospects for economic development of the country were discussed by political and scientific figures, representatives of government structures, public organizations and business communities, guests. Among the invited there were deputies of the Supreme Council Igor Buga, the chairman of the Committee on Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy Vitaly Kalin, member of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms. The Pridnestrovian deputies gave the organizers and participants of the forum the welcome address of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexandr Shcherba.

Alexander Shcherba wished the forum participants fruitful communication, interesting ideas and useful results for the implementation of current and future projects.

Welcoming the participants of the forum, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba underlined the importance of the event and recalled that this year is the year of the 25th anniversary of the victory of the Abkhaz people in the 1992-1993 national war and the year of the 10th anniversary of recognition of independence of the republic as the main ally and strategic partner - the Russian Federation, with which warm, truly fraternal relations formed in recent years.

The head of state noted the main economic tasks of the country, told about work on the program of economic development, emphasized the need for interaction between business and the government.

Within the framework of the forum, a meeting was held between the deputies of the Supreme Council and the chairman of the United Russia Abkhazia, Sergei Shtamba, deputy chairman of the Sukhumi City Assembly Mazan Zantariya. The deputy of the Supreme Council, Igor Buga, told what the Pridnestrovian lawmakers are currently working on, the development of the social and economic sphere of Pridnestrovie, the building of relations with the Republic of Moldova and the reached agreements in the last few months. Among them – there is opening of the bridge near Bychok; Apostilization of PSU diplomas, giving the right to the Pridnestrovian graduates to work outside the republic; the introduction of neutral license plates for Pridnestrovian vehicles, whose owners want to move through the territory of Ukraine, countries of near and far abroad, and other agreements aimed at solving the numerous problems of ordinary citizens.

They spoke during the dialogue about the importance of continuing the dialogue between our countries, establishing close mutually beneficial contacts.
