"The Councils of the People" newspaper: May issue

Regular issue of "The Councils of the People" parliamentary newspaper with the main events of the end of April and May was published. Read in the issue about:

– 79th anniversary of the Great Victory. How an important date in history was celebrated in Pridnestrovie;

– an international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the start of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova was held at the Pridnestrovian State University. Facts from history and an opinion on how the situation is developing today around the negotiation process;

– the Supreme Council has completed work on adjusting the law “On Citizenship of the PMR”. The procedure for obtaining PMR citizenship for children will now be simpler and will require the presence and written consent of only one of the parents;

– a new state program for replacing street lamps has been adopted and has already been signed by the President. The streets should become better illuminated; due to more economical lamps, it will be possible to install new lamps;

– the parliament considered and adopted changes to the law “On the budget system of the PMR”on the initiative of the Tiraspol City Council. District city councils will be able to work on their budgets for the next financial year within 30 working days after the law on the republican budget is signed and published. The period was limited to 3 weeks previously;

– the issue of financing for repairs and maintenance of building and intra-block passages is being discussed by deputies. The President's initiative will make it possible to tidy up the areas near residential buildings and social facilities;

– the Supreme Council team is preparing for the presidential regatta;

–work in the districts.
