Parliamentary hearings on the topic "On the contemporary policy of the Russian Federation with regard to compatriots living abroad" are held in the Russian parliament. The hearings were opened by Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots. Among the discussed issues was the realization of the right of all compatriots to obtain Russian citizenship in a simplified order, as well as the provision of the possibility of training in Russia. It is also planned to discuss the implementation of the Work Program with compatriots living abroad for 2015-2017.

Speaking at the forum, deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of PMR Galina Antyufeeva, the problem of compatriots is in the context of the most important tasks of the Russian state, the country's leaders, parliamentarians and the public. In many ways, the Federal Targeted Program of Work with Compatriots Living Abroad, for the period 2015-2017, contributed to this, it had a wide practical range of implementation, including Pridnestrovie.

The Pridnestrovian deputy voiced a number of proposals aimed at activating work with foreign compatriots. In particular, Galina Antyufeeva suggested that Russian compatriots residing in the republic are granted the right to register Russian citizenship without renouncing the existing other citizenship, allow testing for knowledge of the Russian language and history for applicants for citizenship in the territory of the out-of-office consular post in Tiraspol, and remove the requirement of permanent Residence in the territory of the Russian Federation and allow to apply at the place of permanent registration in PMR.
