“Medicine heals people, and veterinary medicine heals humanity”

The solemn meeting on the occasion of Veterinary Day was attended by Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeyeva, Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Efimy Koval, Deputy Head of the capital State Administration Irina Olkhovik, representatives of PSU.

All speakers at the ceremonial meeting noted that veterinary medicine is an important component of the successful development of the agro-industrial complex and the consumer market of the republic. Every day, veterinarians protect animal health and guard human health, protecting them from dangerous diseases, controlling the quality of products, the rules for their processing and storage.

Vice-speaker Galina Antyufeyeva congratulated veterinarians on the holiday on behalf of the Chairman of the Supreme Council, deputies and all voters, since a large number of people turn to veterinarians for help day and night.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov in a welcoming speech addressed veterinarians of the republic, expressed confidence that the veterinary service specialists will continue to ensure strict monitoring of compliance with veterinary sanitary norms and rules, introduce new methods and tools for diagnosing, preventing and treating farm animal diseases, achieving positive results in maintaining a safe epizootic situation in the republic.

At the solemn meeting on the occasion of professional holiday, the best veterinarians of the republic were awarded state awards, diplomas, letters of thanks of the President, the Government and the Supreme Council.
