The Republican contest of readers "The Living Word" is held in our republic for the fourth time. This year the competition gathered approximately four hundred participants from 7 to 17 years from all over the republic. Today the best readers were identified in Tiraspol. The office of “The Obnovlenie” party gathered 90 young people from Tiraspol who wants to demonstrate the ability to read poems figuratively and expressively.
Among the guests of honor of the competition there were deputies of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla and Alexander Korshunov.
Participants performed in two categories: author's and artistic reading. On the eve of the celebration of the Great Victory, poems by many participants were dedicated to the feat of Soviet soldiers. A pupil of the first class of the 12th school in the capital Nikita Yevstraty chose Alexander Tvardovsky's poem “The Story of the Tankman”. The first-grader, despite his young age, was imbued with a story told by the poet.
The names of the winners of the contest "The Living Word" will be announced April 29. This day the best participants of the qualifying round will again perform their poems. Laureates of the competition will be awarded memorable prizes and diplomas. All participants will receive grateful letters.
