03.05.2017

The big hall of “The Obnovlenie” office gathered Students from all over Pridnestrovie who came to qualifying rounds in their cities and districts. Listening took place in a solemn and at the same time warm and friendly atmosphere. This competition, which managed to win popularity among young Pridnestrovians, became a real holiday of the literary word.

According to the organizer, curator of the projects of "The Future of Pridnestrovie" foundation Tatyana Kosenko, 138 children in three age categories entered the competition in the finals, and this year more than 350 readers and poets took part in the competition. Schoolchildren recited poetry and prose in Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan, and - for the first time - in Bulgarian.

Participants of the finals of the competition were greeted by honorable guests. Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva considers it a wonderful tradition to hold a contest "The Living Word", which awakens interest in the children of literature, helps to express love for the native land.

She also noted that the contest was held on the eve of the great, unifying Victory Day holiday, and this was reflected in the themes of the children's readings.

Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Culture, Mikhail Burla, in turn, said that the creative contest of readers and poets allows children to reveal their abilities, which is important in the era of the Unified State Exam.

The jury consists of Igor Taran, People's Artist of PMR, Merited Teacher and author of manuals and textbooks for secondary schools in the Moldovan language Dorin Gabuzha, a member of the Writers' Union of Pridnestrovie Natalia Samoniy.
